Watching the Writer Work, Day 7

Shame

As some of you may have noticed, I haven’t sent out the newsletter in a few days. And the reason I haven’ sent out the newsletter? Shame.

For a few days in a row, I wound up not writing or publishing anything.

Part of the reason for not writing or publishing anything was that I was taking care of errands and finding a place I could go to write for a change of scenery. I found such a place:

What you see in the image above (apart from my iPad) is a coworking space. There is a wall of windows to the left and there are some windows on the wall to the right. Lots of natural light. Plus, it’s a clean open space. Plenty of places to work from. Working here makes me happy.

However, I must confess that, so far, while in this space, I’ve worked on an entirely different, personal project. I can work on the project and write at the same time, but the one day I went back to this space, I wound up spending my time on that project. I think that project should be wrapped by the end of the month; we’ll see.

Recently Written

Today, I published a piece entitled Write it Down, Work it Out. The piece is about the benefits of journaling and how you can modify journaling to suit your needs, not just follow some legalistic framework.

Soon to be Written

So, it turns out that The Holdovers did come to my fair city, just not on opening weekend. I’m going to go see the film tonight with some folks from a local MeetUp group.

Tomorrow night, I’m going to see Priscilla.

And while I could wind up going Wednesday or Thursday, I think I’m going to go see Napoleon on Sunday giving the crazy Black Friday shoppers time to “head back to their caves and treehouses.”

Of course, I intend to review each of these films in short order.
